Vony is a personal loan tracking app designed for friends and family who lend money to each other. Instead of relying on memory or awkward text messages, Vony gives both parties a clear record of the loan terms, payment schedule, and history, so everyone stays on the same page.
Head to the Create Loan page from the navigation bar. You'll enter the borrower's name, loan amount, interest rate, repayment period, and payment frequency. Once you send the offer, your borrower will receive a notification to review and accept the terms before the loan becomes active.
Yes, both the lender and borrower need an account so that each party can view the loan, confirm payments, and sign the loan agreement. You can invite a friend directly from the Friends page by searching for their username or email.
Once the borrower accepts the offer, the loan becomes active and appears in both parties' My Loans pages. A loan agreement is automatically generated, and the payment schedule is set based on the terms you agreed on.
Yes, a loan can be cancelled from the Loan Details view. Both parties will be notified and the loan will be marked as cancelled in your activity history. Payments already recorded prior to cancellation will remain in the record.
Go to the Record Payment page and select the loan you're making a payment against. Enter the amount, choose a payment method, and select the payment date. Once submitted, the payment appears as pending until the other party confirms it.
Vony uses a two-step confirmation so both parties agree on what was paid and when. This protects both the lender and borrower and keeps the payment record accurate. The other party will receive a notification prompting them to confirm or flag the payment.
Payments cannot be edited once submitted, but you can contact the other party to decline the payment and ask you to re-record it with the correct amount. The incorrect record will then be removed from the active schedule.
Yes, either party can record a payment, which is useful if the borrower made a cash payment or used a method outside the app. The other party will still need to confirm the payment for it to count as completed.
This section shows payments recorded by the other party that are waiting for your confirmation. Review the amount and date, and either confirm them as accurate or reach out to the other party if something looks off.
A promissory note is a formal document in which the borrower promises in writing to repay the lender under the agreed terms. Vony generates one automatically when a loan is accepted, and both parties can view and download it from the Loan Details page.
An amortization schedule breaks down each payment in the loan into its principal and interest components, showing how the balance reduces over time. It helps both parties understand exactly how much of each payment goes toward paying down the loan versus covering interest.
Loan terms are locked once both parties have accepted them to ensure the agreement is fair and tamper-proof. If you need to adjust terms, the current loan should be cancelled and a new loan offer created with the updated details.
Once the total amount owed has been paid and confirmed, the loan is automatically marked as completed. It moves out of your active loans and into your history, and both parties receive a notification confirming the loan is closed.
The Loan Summary is a concise overview of the loan's key details, the principal, interest rate, total amount owed, payment frequency, and current repayment progress. It's a useful at-a-glance reference for both parties throughout the life of the loan.
Vony stores your loan and payment data securely using Supabase, a trusted backend provider. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is never shared with or sold to third parties.
Only the two parties involved in a loan, the lender and the borrower, can see its details. No other users, including mutual friends on the platform, have access to your loan information.
Go to the Profile page from the navigation bar. From there you can update your display name, profile picture, and other account details. Changes are saved immediately and will be reflected across the app.
Account deletion is currently handled by contacting our support team directly. We'll remove all your data in accordance with our privacy policy within 30 days of your request. Please email us at support@vony.app to initiate the process.
